NORTHERN STARS Ray Jones Ray Jones is an acclaimed Australian country artist whose warm, heartfelt voice and authentic storytelling have earned him growing recognition across the country music landscape. Hailing from Myalup Beach in Western Australia, Jones blends classic country influences with a contemporary edge, creating music that resonates across generations.     His debut album Sleeping Rough introduced audiences to his deeply personal songwriting, with standout tracks gaining acclaim both in Australia and the United States. His work has since been recognised with multiple honours, including WA Country Music Male Artist of the Year in 2023 and 2024, along with a finalist placing in the 2024 WAM Country Song of the Year.     Jones’s latest release, Northern Stars, is a heartfelt tribute to his late parents, his close friend and producer Bill Chambers, and the simple beauty of life under the vast Australian sky. Featuring subtle percussion by Ali Foster, brooding slide guitar from Chambers, and evocative bass lines by Jeff McCormack, the track is elevated by Jones’s signature fingerpicking on his trusted Martin guitar.     Having shared stages with artists including Lee Kernaghan and Kasey Chambers, Ray Jones continues to build a powerful catalogue of music defined by sincerity, connection, and a deep respect for the storytelling traditions of country music.
