N-Roque

Indian rock artist N-Roque recruits countrymen to honor the King of Rock in new music video

N-Roque, one of India’s fastest rising stars in the country’s rock scene, has just released his latest single “Elvis is Reborn,” garnering over 15,000 views in a little more than one week. The video is the first of its kind to pay homage to The King of Rock, featuring numerous Indians enthusiastically showing their support for Presley and his iconic music.
In spite of the catchy, uplifting beats and humor, the song’s message is rooted in a more serious theme: that the power of music can carry across generations and inspire people to do great things. In addition to N-Roque’s love for Elvis, fans will also catch hints of his many other inspirations, including Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Dave Matthews and more.
“My dad was a huge Elvis fan,” N-Roque says. “Now, years of after his death, I was looking for a way to not just express my love for him, but also for the love of music that he put into me by having Elvis on in our home all the time growing up. I know I’m not the only person to grow up around here listening to The King, so we also thought it would be fun to include people from every walk of life in the video.”
The video was directed by Randal Periera and shot in Mumbai. The Music was  produced by the renowned Eric Pillai, an award winning Indian Music Producer and mixing master engineer who has credits on more than 2000 songs and has received India’s highest honors and recognition for his work in Bollywood.
“I really owe a lot of who I am to Eric,” N-Roque says. “He was one of the first people to see the potential in my work and signed me to a production deal that has taken me where I am today. It’s been such an honor to work with him, and I’m really looking forward to what the future has in store for us.”
N-Roque is planning to release five more singles over the course of 2015, and hopes to eventually bring his art on tour across Europe and the United States. Until then, however, he says he’ll continue making the kind of music his fans have come to love him for.
“This is all for them,” N-Roque says. “Music is for everyone, and that is the message behind every song we produce and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
